ROS 2 uses ament as the build system but for backward compatibility ROS 2 has a package calledcatkin which provides almost the same API as catkin in ROS 1. In order to use this backward compatibility API the CMakeLists.txt must only be updated to call the functioncatkin_ament_package() after all targets.

ST Hardware exist bug(Confirm with reference manual):
1.EV7 won't show up after received first byte
  • Which means the interrupt won't be trigger after received first byte
2.NACK bit should be set before last two byte (Actually a bug! Otherwise you should set before last byte!)
Software problem
  • FreeRTOS will interrupt the I2C process because of the Task premption
  • For Hardware problem, we can just enable the DMA to avoid it (Avoid several stupid flag checking procedures)
  • For software problem, or you can say "OS problem", We should use ISR to handle the I2C
